Board
The Tintern Schools Board is committed to ensuring that our schools – the Girls Grammar (Tintern) and the Boys Grammar (Southwood) continue to have a reputation as outstanding schools for young people in the C21. To assist in this process, the structure of the Board will be reviewed by an external consultant during the next 12 months.
Board members

Mr Haydn Park – Chairman
Haydn has been a board member for 9 years and is currently Chairman. Haydn and Pamela have two sons and a daughter who is a past student of Tintern.

Mrs Jenny Collins
Jenny holds the position of Principal, Tintern Schools. She shares her time across both the Girls Grammar and Boys Grammar equally. Jenny brings to Tintern Schools a wealth of experience from holding senior positions with other leading independent schools in Victoria, such as Wesley and MLC. She has taught internationally in the United Kingdom.

Mr Peter Buckingham (ex officio)
Peter holds the position of Deputy Principal of Tintern Schools and divides his time across both the Girls Grammar and Boys Grammar. Peter comes from a background of curriculum and course development in the independent schools sector. He has held senior leadership positions focusing on student and staff management. He also has a keen interest in art and travel.

Mr Gary Coles
Gary has been a board member for 5 years. Gary is a Licensed Land Surveyor and has been a Director of Head & Humphreys - land development consultants for 15 years. Gary and Lorraine, President of the Southwood Parents Club, have three sons; all are former or current Southwood students.

Mr Chris Malkin
Chris has been a board member for 6 years and is currently Deputy Chairman. Chris is a Chartered Accountant and CPA and is a Principal of WHK Horwath. Chris and Toby have a son, and a daughter who is a past student of Tintern.
Mr Gordon Morriss
Gordon has been a board member for 8 years. Gordon and Heather have two daughters, one a past and another a current Tintern student.

Mr Doug Shirrefs
Doug Shirrefs has also joined the Tintern Schools Board and the Governance Committee. Doug is a parent of two girls at Tintern, a practising barrister and economist with a particular interest in competition and regulatory law, and a Board Member of South East Water.
Mr Matthew Bush
Matthew Bush has two daughters and a son at Tintern Schools and has been a member of the Finance Committee for the past two years. He is an experienced banking and finance professional.
Mrs Alva Hemming
Alva Hemming is a past Tintern student, and her mother also attended the school. She has worked as a teacher and University lecturer and since 1993 has been involved in tourism, most recently as the Executive Tourism Officer for Mornington Peninsula Tourism.

Mrs Judy Hubbard
An experienced marketer, Judy Hubbard has worked closely with Tintern Schools for a number of years, and has also spent a large portion of her working life with other independent schools.

Mr John Hoskins
A current parent, John Hoskins has two children at Tintern Schools. John is the Director of Hoskins Real Estate and has been on the Family Board for a number of years.

Mr Damien Horman (ex officio)
Damien is the current Director of Finance and Secretary to the Tintern Schools Board. Damien has a daughter in Prep at Tintern.
Mr Andrew Hutchinson
Andrew is a current parent and has three children attending the Boys Grammar and Girls Grammar. Andrew also serves as a member of the Tintern Grammar House and Grounds Committee.
Reverend Dr John Capper
John has four daughters and his youngest currently attends the Girls Grammar. As well as being a board memeber at Tintern, John is Dean of Tabor College.
