Every stage of a child’s development is important. All of our programs are student –focused and are framed by their age, gender, and capacity.
INDIVIDUALITY
Because students progress differently, they are closely monitored by our outstanding professional staff in a caring and supportive environment.
The Horizon Program (for highly able learners) offers enrichment and extension through external national and state academic competitions. Students with particular learning needs are identified and have appropriate programs designed for them in consultation with parents and our educational support staff.
HEALTHY HEARTS
Tintern delivers a wide Physical Education and Sports Program. The range of sports is extensive with many sports from tennis, basketball, netball, cricket, and athletics to alpine skiing, football and fencing.
All students participate in House sports and have the opportunity to take part in inter-school sport. Professional coaching is provided within the school.
HEALTHY MINDS
Pastoral care is fundamental part of the unique Tintern experience.
Students enjoy a safe and supportive learning environment. They are nurtured by a homeroom teacher and a Year Level Coordinator (Middle School and Senior College), supported by a school chaplain and psychologists.
LEADERSHIP
Leadership programs are built around the school’s motto “Factis Non Verbis” – from the Latin meaning “Tis by deeds, not by words”. Students are empowered to develop skills that not only build upon their strengths as an individual, but also to encourage those around them to make a positive contribution to the school and wider community.
